What a great harvest market it’s been. Those who have visited or are regular customers know that the Harvest Market at Rockhill has proven to be a wonderful community event. Each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., about five or six vendors and our Richmond City market manager gather to share the wealth, so to speak.

Thanks to our regular vendors, we have had a beautiful vegetables, fruits, flowers, herbs, photographs and much more. Between out-of-town visitors and Richmond locals, we’ve consistently had between 65 and 120 or so market-goers each Saturday.

Yes, we are small. We think that makes the experience all the better. And we are definitely the real deal. In fact, we got to thinking. We may be the only farmers market in Utah that is actually held on a farm.

So, we’ll continue at least until Oct. 17. A little rain won’t keep us from opening the farm gates. So come visit. See the calves, check out our underground cheese aging room and please help us pick some of our cherry tomatoes! —jh
